Hunger, thirst, sleep, cleanliness, cuddles (hold the click: it purrs)… Well cared for, it gets prettier: shiny coat, golden collar. Without care, it falls ill.
It wanders around, moves from one screen to another and climbs onto your windows: close them and it falls! The bird flies from window to window. It dances when you play music (Windows) and even does its business on the desktop.
Catch the treats, the cup game, memory match, the ball of yarn, a laser pointer… tricks it learns little by little, and trophies to win.

ThomasGotchi isn't signed by Apple, because that requires a paid subscription. The app isn't dangerous: macOS simply doesn't know it. To allow it, just once:

In its settings, “Friends” tab, you'll find your friend code. Give it to someone close: they type it in, and you accept their request. When both apps are open, your pets visit each other once or twice a day, or when you click 🚪: yours leaves your screen, appears at your friend's, plays with their pets and comes back. Your friend can even feed it a file: it comes home full! You can also send your friends a gift 🎁 or a postcard 💌 with a little message, even when their computer is off. With 🐾, it's a walk: your friend's pet walks yours home, and they arrive at your place together.
Yes: in its settings, “Options” tab, choose the “Normal”, “Large” or “Extra large” size. Handy on big screens!
No, never. It only looks at their name and size to know what it's eating. The file stays exactly where it was.
Time keeps passing: remember to take care of it! When you go on holiday, turn on the "holiday pause": it doesn't age and isn't hungry or thirsty.
No: it stays discreet, clicks go through it, it hides by itself when an app goes full screen (presentation, video, game), and Ctrl+Alt+T (Cmd+Option+T on a Mac) hides it or brings it back at once.
No. Your pet is saved only on your computer. Only the weather queries a public service (with your city name), and the app checks whether a new version exists.
In its settings, "Export" creates a small file. On the other computer, "Import a pet" in the icon menu brings it back to life.
In French, English, Spanish and Italian. It picks your computer's language by itself, and you can change it in its settings.
